A global endeavour to the South Pole

I feel privileged to have worked with Walking With The Wounded since its founding. The remarkable individuals involved with the charity overcome incredible adversity and are truly an inspiration. After successful fundraising expeditions to the North Pole and Mt Everest, sights were set on a larger challenge on a global stage. The Allied South Pole Challenge saw three teams of wounded servicemen and women from the UK, USA and Commonwealth, race 335km to the South Pole. The UK team was led by Prince Harry, the US team by Alexander Skarsgard and the Commonwealth team by Dominic West.

Hosted PR events and emotive digital content was created in the lead up to deliver media prominence. A take over of Trafalgar Square for the departure event was attended by the world’s media and live streamed through Youtube.

The challenge raised a huge amount for the charity and global awareness on the importance of rehabilitation for our ex-service men and women. ITV aired a two part documentary on the expedition titled “Harrys South Pole Heroes”. Idents directed audiences keen to support the charity to a custom website and donation portal.
